Built in 1899, Havencrest Castle is a magnificent Victorian castle is available for a fairy tale wedding and a dreams-come-true reception. Located in Upper Illinois, it is situated high on a hill in a small town overlooking the Mississippi River. The interiors are both luxurious and intimate, rather like a palace on a domestic scale, with exquisite details that will make any bride a princess.

The Gazebo

In the winter, the gazebo is a picturesque welcome to arriving guests. In the warmer months, it can be a charming site for exchanging vows or tossing the bridal bouquet.

The Entrance Hall and Grand Staircase

As a setting for a wedding, the entrance hall can hold up to 90 guests while the bride, a vision of loveliness, drifts down the steps to her waiting groom and the minister in The Ponder Nook (the charming little balcony at the second landing).

The Russian Rococo Library

A stunning room that would be an elegant backdrop to a small ceremony before the cherub-littered fireplace, this chamber blazes with gold leaf and original carvings. From the ceiling-sized oil painting of cherubs carrying the blossoms of Man's knowledge to heaven to the six magnificent flower-filled torchiere jardinaires, this is a tribute to the opulence of the eighteenth century.

The Chinese Tea Room

This room opens onto a study and Chinese garden, complete with waterfall and temple. Perfect for an exotic ceremony with oriental motifs.

The Royal Bedroom and The Fairytale Bath

This splendid Louis XV bedroom suite is just the thing for a honeymoon night in royal style. Another guest suite has a medieval theme, its own dining room, kitchen, bath and sun porch.

The Crystal Tower

This room, 30 feet in length, is on the sixth floor of the castle and is all mirrors and windows with breathtaking views of two states and the Mississippi River. Perhaps it's just the place to display the wedding cake! In autumn the oak trees on the estate provide the most amazing display of colours imaginable.

The Grand Reception Room

This dazzling chamber will hold fifty for a sit -down dinner with seating for more in the Reception hall beyond. One hundred and fifty can be seated for dinner in the theatre.
